Habibi is reminiscent of ornately detailed oriental tea services. The tray top in combination with the base be used as an independent side table or the tray can be removed from the base and used on its own. Untreated by chemicals, natural oxidation processes create a beautiful patina over time, unless interrupted by applying conventional metal polishes.
Born in Mainz, Germany, Philipp Mainzer studied Product Design at Central Saint Martins College and Architecture at the Architectural Association in London.
During this time he established the furniture company e15 together with Florian Asche. Following several interior and furniture projects in England and Germany he moved to New York where he works as an architect and serves as creative director for e15 and Bergman.
