Naive in form, the Lolita Suspension Light is a simple and highly stylised object from the Dutch masters of design. Available in a choice of three distinctive colourways, the Lolita Suspension Lamp is produced from long-lasting ABS materials, which directly contrasts the subtle, delicate aesthetic of the bell-shaped lamp. Zupanc sees her work as a commentary on the relationship between gender and stereotypes, and that is most certainly clear and on-display here. Also available the Moooi Lolita Table Lamp.
Slovenian product and interior designer Nika Zupanc came to global prominence with the launch of the Lolita lamp, her first design for Moooi.
She established her own studio in 2008 working with her team on fresh projects that grow out of distinctive interpretations of modern culture, contemporary design and available technological options. Her designs are part of the range of distinguished design companies such as Moooi, Qeeboo, Sé, Moroso and Natuzzi.
