Born in 1969, Samuli Naamanka is a Finnish product and interior designer who combines carefully considered forms with technical innovations, whilst always making time to consider the environmental impacts of his work. Much of Naamanka's work has centred on the development of concrete, having attained patents for the graphic patterning of concrete and the pigmentation of concrete in several colours. In 2012, Naamanka worked with Finnish furniture icons Nikari to develop the October Light Chair, for their collection '12 Designs for Nature'.
