Inside our homes
We don’t just live by our ‘buy once, buy well’ philosophy when we’re in the office. That’s why we're opening the doors to our own forever homes, to show you our most-loved corners of design. Take the tour…
Lily - The True Minimalist
I love the low arms of the HAY Mags Sofa. They’re great for resting a laptop, book or a nice beverage at the weekend! It’s also super comfy and always looks neat. The Vitra Cork acts as a handy side table or extra seating if we need it, keeping our space versatile.
I love the Oluce Atollo Table Lamp because it has an understated beauty that blends in effortlessly. With the two-way switch, you can create different atmospheres. It’s 3 lights in one! I don’t think we set out to create a look in our home, but we know that simplicity is the best way to invest in pieces that will stick around forever. The Flos Snoopy Lamp is one of the first forever pieces we bought. My partner, Joe, is an electrician so lights are at the top of our list. This was one of Joe’s picks and we love it.
Lily - Living Deliberately
The Moooi Zio Chair is a forever chair, the craftsmanship is beautiful, and the design is timeless. My cats have stolen this from us, they snooze morning noon and night on this chair. The ultimate comfort test.
Olivia - Pops of Colour
The HAY Hee Bar Stools are the star of the show in my kitchen. Made up of bold, graphic lines, they’re an extension of my love for geometric design.
My Vitra Rotary Tray has been used in every room – they’ve housed my makeup, my plants and my cupcakes. It’s about time I invested in more than one!
Olivia - Moody Blues
My most prized possession has got to be the Flos IC T2. It’s a lamp that oozes opulence and has a glow of light like nothing I’ve seen before, popping beautifully against my moody blue walls.
I’m drawn to all things geometric, so the HAY Kaleido Trays make the perfect little addition to my home. Practical, decorative and offering an endless amount of combinations – they’re hard not to love.
Jess - A Scandi Palette
I wanted a fresh and crisp, geometric design for my bedside table, but it proved a challenge as I wanted to avoid anything heavy-looking. I chose the HAY Tray Table because it’s light but has impressive quality and adaptability.
It’s also the perfect home for my Anglepoise Mini Table Lamp and the smaller Hexagon Pot which is the ideal size for my latest addition to my succulent family! It all ties together with my Colour Block Hay Bed Linen, misty blue meets olive green and dusty pink. I do love a Scandi colour palette!
Jess - Nature Invades
My Ferm Living Plant Box makes me smile every morning. It’s such a simple, effective way of bringing my beloved plants into my bedroom and because it’s so versatile, I can use it elsewhere within my home should I choose to mix things up. I’ll definitely have it forever – if only my plants would last as long!
Christian - Timeless Elegance
The Fritz Hansen Egg Chair is timeless, unique and always a pleasure to come home to – so inviting and completely relaxing.
The Moooi Random has a stunning textured effect. It’s so interesting to look at! When it comes to the GUBI Grashoppa, I’m not the only one in the office to call it one of my favourite floor lamps.
I love the removable top of the Carl Hansen Tray Table – perfect for carrying those cups of tea.
Christian - The Key to Comfort
I was drawn to the Knoll Womb Chair because of its simple, curvaceous beauty. It’s a big, comfy chair that doesn’t dominate the room like an old-fashioned armchair might. Placed next to the window, and coupled with a HAY Flowerpot and wonderful bits of greenery, it has created the go-to corner of relaxation in my home.
Sally - Mid-Century Homage
I always loved the Panthella Floor Lamp from looking at the pictures and bought one on a whim. When it arrived, I was blown away by how beautiful it was. It is one of the most stunning pieces I’ve ever owned, and I know I’ll keep it forever.
I am always a little pushed for storage so the Muuto Restore Round Baskets are super helpful for magazines, dog toys and in my wardrobe. My House Bird is the finishing touch and a nice nod to timeless Eames design.
Ben - First Impressions
From living in a small London apartment for years we’ve always made the space we have work hard for us. The Nomess Copenhagen Gravity Rack is a great space saver, sturdy, and so perfect for coats. We used the Tom Dixon Mirror Ball for the same reason as you would a wall mirror, to reflect and open up the space.
The Restore Basket is perfect for extra clutter that finds its way into our hallway.
Ben - Making Our Mark
The main components of the bathroom were inherited from the previous owners of our house. We needed to make our mark and the GUBI Turbo Pendant definitely made the room ours; the warm light really changed the overall feel of the room.
To keep the focus on the pendant, we wanted our accessories to be clean and simple; Hay was the perfect brand for this. The HAY DLM Side Table was the perfect size and colour for the room, and the Strap Mirror went with our minimal theme beautifully.
Now it’s your turn. Show us your forever pieces on Instagram or chat with us on Facebook and Twitter.
