Jess Alldridge
Marketing Manager
My role is: As Marketing Manager, I lead the marketing team in both our digital and offline marketing activity according to strategy and brand guidelines. I lead the creative direction for marketing campaigns and populate our roadmap of activity, with the intention to promote brand awareness, drive sales and share our tone of voice.
Our responsibility within marketing is to effectively communicate the unique product stories of our ever-evolving collection of established brands. We are committed to engaging our customers both B2C and B2B with all things design through relevant and historical content and communicating this across the various marketing channels that make up Nest. I oversee our journal and editorials, advertising, photography, social media, press, email, merchandising and events.
My top product from my wish list is: The Gubi Grashoppa Floor Lamp in Vintage Red.
I love it because: Every home I encounter this design in, it just re-affirms how much I have to own one. I’m all about colour and the Vintage Red finish provides just that little something extra.
My recommended Nest product is: Louis Poulsen PH 5 Pendant Light. Good design should simultaneously embody an ‘effortlessly chic visual’ and be built to last; this delivers. If a product retains your love over the years it must be worth investing in.
I love: Colour. Plants. Imaginative people. Walking. The Moon. Wes Anderson films. A good hug. Old cinemas with double seats.
My favourite music is: To be honest, my taste is so varied and totally depends on how I feel. Most fall within electronica, hip hop, some jazz and some guilty pleasures. Seeing Nas was a highlight, also Rhianna. This year I'm going to see Fleetwood Mac so as I say, it's varied. Explosions in the Sky is my go-to contemplative soundtrack.
My favourite food is: Eggs and avocado are up there. I really enjoy tapas if eating out. I have a sweet tooth so can't resist popcorn at the cinema with a good film.
My top travel destinations are: Copenhagen, Austria, Barcelona, & Morocco. Barcelona for its culture and relaxed approach to life. I was in my element exploring the Atlas Mountains and souks in Morocco. I could definitely live in Copenhagen, everything about it appeals to me and the landscape of Bavaria Austria felt like another world.
I’d love to visit: Japan, Kyoto in March/April to see the stunning cherry blossom. Iceland for the Northern Lights and hot springs. New York. Scotland. Yes, please.
