Have you ever struggled to reach your light switches or forgotten to turn the lights off when you left the house? Imagine being able to turn all your lights on or off with one click. The Foscarini MyLight system allows you to control your lighting from an app, saving you energy, money, and time.
Smart lighting is becoming ever more accessible and adaptable, providing enhanced control over the lighting in our homes. As well as allowing you to turn your lights on and off, smart lighting systems allow you to adjust the brightness and colour temperature of your light, creating an atmosphere to match your mood. Dim the lights for movie night, create an enhanced glow in a reading corner or brighten your mood in the morning with targeted light.
And what’s more, never worry about leaving the lights on (or off) again. Smart lighting technology allows us to enhance the security in our homes by controlling lights remotely when we’re away. Or if you’ve forgotten to turn a light off when you’ve left the house, save energy, and simply turn it off at the touch of a button.
What is MyLight?
The Foscarini MyLight system allows you to control and personalise your light to suit your needs, uniting innovative technology with elegant, Italian style.
Available with a wide range of LED models in the Foscarini collection, the MyLight technology allows the user to turn their Foscarini lights on and off, dim the light and even adjust the colour temperature, all through the Casambi app.
An easy and user-friendly system, you only need to install a compatible light source and connect it through Bluetooth with your smartphone, tablet, or other control devices.
How to work MyLight
Simply activate Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet, download the free Casambi app on your smartwatch, tablet or smartphone and turn on your MyLight lamp.
The app should detect the presence of the lamp, and you should now be able to add your lamp to a ‘network’. All Casambi devices added to a network will share specific network settings. They can be controlled individually or grouped.
Touch the ‘Luminaries’ icon to turn your lamp on and off, to adjust brightness and colour temperature according to your preferences. Use the ‘Scenes’ screen to create as many lighting scenarios as you wish. A scene is a set of pre-set light levels, colours and colour temperatures assigned to multiple lamps to create different lightings and ambiences.
Using the timer, scenarios can be automatically activated or deactivated, even when your smartphone or tablet is off.
Family and friends can download the app for independent control of the lamps, but you are the one who sets their access levels. As an alternative, your MyLight lamps can be controlled using a compatible portable switch (not supplied).
For larger, more complex spaces - stores, public venues, hotels - the system allows control of multiple ‘networks’ at the same time, through the set-up of a ‘Site’, a tool designed to manage many lamps, even on different floors, in an equally simple fashion.
