In her early designs for the Bonbon collection, Kras tapped into the rag trade by utilising leftover yarn from the fashion industry, with Bonbon continuing to use stock from that same supplier today. Creating a more efficient, sustainable supply chain, the colours featured on the shades are those already in production by the manufacturer. Born in Belgrade, Serbia, Ana Kras studied furniture design and interior architecture at the University of Applied Arts in Belgrade.
In 2013, she moved to New York, where she has continued pursuing various projects in the fields of object design, art, photography, and fashion.
