Story

The Kaufmann Table is a beautifully hand-crafted desk with an expressive nature. Designer Finn Juhl has deliberately kept the table top and the frame in different types of wood - a light and a dark one - to create contrast and interest.

The desk, although not officially named by Juhl, has been given its title as a tribute to Juhl’s friend, the former manager of MOMA, Edgar Kaufmann Jr. It was Kaufmann who ‘discovered’ Juhl and paved the way for his international career.
