Story
Originally inspired by the idea of how to make a vase disappear, its innovative design is based around how a poultry watering system operates, automatically feeding water to your flowers through a balance of equilibrium between the inner reservoir and lower tray, allowing the water to stay at a set level and never overflow. Exhibiting plants to their fullest, flowers are beautifully arranged around the upside down glass borosilicate container, secured upright by its stainless steel framework. Creating a natural unique aesthetic that showcases the rooted beauty of greenery, the entirety of the flower stems are exposed.

Chris Kabel was born in Haarlem in 1975 and grew up in Bloemendaal. He started his studio after graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2001 and since 2002 has based his studio in Rotterdam. Often developing new material techniques or incorporating mundane ones in a surprising way, Kabel brings the pragmatic together with the conceptual.
