Perfect for placing in a living room or bedroom, the HM2 Lounge Chair is bound by three main elements: a slender brass base, a hand-polished wooden frame - with the same L-shaped structure as a ‘Boomerang’ and comforting upholstered seat and back cushions. Sporting a streamlined design with a laid-back, open seat space and petite, pointed armrests, HM2 is the ideal piece for relaxation. Available in a range of fabrics and wood finishes, the materials unite together to create a stunning piece of mid-century furniture design. The &Tradition HM2 Boomerang Lounge Chair is also available without armrests.
Peter Hvidt (1916-1986) and Orla Molgaard-Nielsen (1907-1993) were pioneers of Danish mid-century design and the founders of Copenhagen-based firm Hvidt & Molgaard.
Renowned for the simplicity of their works, the duo established a simple and precise aesthetic designing countless pieces of furniture over the years, many of which became icons of the era. Today, their work can be found exhibited at MoMA, Melbourne’s National Gallery, and Copenhagen’s Design Museum.
