Defined by a seat of exposed webbing, the TK7 Counter Stool has a delicate sense of tactility, drawing the eye to a feature usually concealed. The flexible, woven linen naturally bends with the body providing the utmost seated comfort whilst adding to the stool’s organic aesthetic. A choice of bold colours makes the Counter Stool adaptable to a number of interior surroundings, making it the perfect choice for use around a kitchen island or a high-level countertop.
Finnish designer Sami Kallio and Danish designer Jakob Thau have joined forces to create the Betty TK1 Chair for &Tradition.
Kallio grew up in Finland and was awarded a master's degree in design from the Gothenburg School of Design and Crafts. Thau was raised in Denmark and received a master's degree from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design.
Both then went on to train as cabinet makers, moving forward to execute their own purposeful, timeless designs; reflecting traditional techniques that have been reworked to a contemporary context.
