Made from a single piece of brass, the elegant Golden Bell was commissioned for Helsinki's famous Savoy Restaurant. An elegant, timeless luminaire, the lights metal shade is perforated around the edge, allowing a soft glow not only downwards but also to the side, creating a warming, enticing glow whether used over a dining table, in a hallway or in the living room.
As one of the great architects and furniture designers of the 20th century, Finnish designer Alvar Aalto breathed life and warmth into modernism, placing emphasis on "organic" geometry; supple, natural materials; and a respect for human feeling.
Alvar Aalto's collection of mid-century furniture and lighting is produced exclusively by Scandinavian brand Artek including the iconic Artek 60 Stool.
