A pair of joined saucer-shaped diffusers create the iconic shape of the Model 2065 Wall Light. Floating on an elegantly curved tube structure, the diffusers are formed from Green Cast, a 100% recycled methacrylate, which retains the exact same aesthetics and functionality of the original material selected by Gino Sarfatti. Manufactured by Astep, this hard-wired wall lamp is a tribute to Sarfatti’s genius, upgraded with the latest innovations in contemporary lighting technology while honouring the spirit of the original design.
During his thirty years of activity, Gino Sarfatti designed and produced over 400 luminaires and carried out non-stop research into innovation as regards typology, materials, production technologies, light sources, technical lighting effects and design aspects.
In the course of their work, Gino Sarfatti and Arteluce won numerous prizes and awards including the Compasso d'Oro in 1954 and 1955, and the Honorary Diploma of the Milan Triennale.
