With a relaxed, almost laid-back attitude, the E016 Footstool exemplifies the contemporary aesthetic personified by the trio behind EOOS. The studio’s process explores the intuitive nature of myth and expression, creating objects that are instantly recognisable with a striking silhouette and exceptional functionality.
When paired with the E015 Lounge Chair, the footstool takes on a new life, providing the sitter with somewhere to spread out. On its own, the stool provides the perfect seat for an impromptu guest.
Established in Vienna in 1995, this Austrian design collaborative study historical roots in a contemporary context using a unique process called Poetical Analysis to create works. Their method focuses on myths, rituals and intuitive expressions, to create connections that extend beyond initial perceptions. Consisting of Martin Bergmann, Gernot Bohmann, and Harald Gründl, EOOS has worked with well-known brands such as Carl Hansen and have won over 130 international awards.
