Designed to transform spaces, the FK63 system captivates onlookers with its bold presence, characterised by its minimalist form and highly functional aesthetic. Embodying Kastholm & Fabricius’ commitment to craftsmanship and considered detailing, FK63 is crafted using natural FSC-certified solid oak, oiled to further enhance the texture and grain of the wood. Beautiful when displayed alone the cabinet is perfect for use in smaller spaces, but FK63 was devised for maximum flexibility allowing it to be completely customisable to the user; a storage solution fit for every space and every need.
Preben Juhl Fabricius (1931-1984) and Jørgen Kastholm (1931-2007) both attended the Danish school of Interior Design, where they studied architecture under Finn Juhl and subsequently with Arne Jacobsen.
Creating a handful of designs as a partnership, the duo were driven by a mutual mission to make a form a pure derivative of function. Their work is defined by mixing materials and shapes, forming streamlined, sleek pieces; with many commissioned pieces intended for international airports, penthouse apartments, high-profile lifestyle magazines and even early James Bond films.
