The fabric upholstery is cut from a single piece and stretched over the foam without wrinkling, something only the most accomplished upholsterers can manage. The domed seat marries perfectly with the solid wooden legs, giving the piece a distinctly organic silhouette.

In 2019, Rikke Frost took part in the TV programme ‘Denmark’s Next Classic’. It was as part of this TV programme that Frost created the Sideways Sofa in just three short weeks and her design went on to win in its category. She has also won and been nominated for several awards, including the Danish Design Award and Bolig Magasinets Design Award.
