SuperWire, the inaugural modular lamp series designed by Formafantasma for Flos, is inspired by the great glass masters of the past century. The SuperWire F floor lamp takes centre stage with its dynamic planar glass and polished aluminium design supported by a steel tripod base, a nod to the iconic Luminator (1954) by the Castiglioni brothers.
Upholding Flos’ tenacious commitment to pushing boundaries, the piece’s eco-design features custom-made flexible LED strips that emit a warm, even glow along their entire lengths and they can be removed for easy replacement or repair. The SuperWire F lamp’s grand presence imbues contemporary elegance in any space, from luxurious living rooms to executive offices.
Studio Formafantasma was founded by Amsterdam based Italian designers Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin. Graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven in July 2009, Formafantasma has developed a coherent body of design work.
Studio Formafantasma has worked with a variety of international design partners including Fendi, Hermès, Droog, Nodus rug, Established & Sons, Lexus, Krizia International and Flos.
