The Lunar Chair takes its name from the moon with its crescent-shaped backrest made from a single piece of rounded solid oak, doubling up as an armrest when sitting in different positions. The piece is made from oak sourced from sustainably managed forests and the seat rests on a cross structure, providing a stable base for a robust frame that will last for generations to come.
‘Light and embracing’ in the designer’s own words, the oiled oak in a natural or white finish, combined with its curved details and hidden screws, brings out the chair’s soft expression. The dining chair’s slender build allows up to three chairs to be stacked, freeing up important space in any interior.
Established by Helle Herman Mortensen and Jonas Herman Pedersen in 2012, Herman Studio focuses on furniture and interior design.
