The Favn Sofa is a fusion of Danish design and Hayón’s Spanish heritage. “I wanted to create a form that embraces you, something really organic, that’s why we named it FAVN” says the designer. Compact and comfortable, the Favn is great for smaller abodes or as a second sofa.
Spanish artist and industrial designer Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974.
In 1997, he began working as a researcher at Fabrica, Benetton Group’s communication and research centre in Treviso, Italy. 2004 saw the start of Hayon’s individual career and he has kept himself busy with a spectrum of eclectic projects. From toys, to modern furniture and interior design as well as artistic installations, his boldness has been to transcend the borders of the often separated worlds of art and design, comfortably bridging the two whilst embedding them with his own unique style.
