Displayed with the Fritz Hansen PK22™ Lounge chair, the PK65™ Coffee Table can be effortlessly integrated into an array of classic and contemporary interiors. Kjaerholm's strong interest in construction materials feeds into the combination of mediums used. A glass surface rests upon a satin-brushed stainless steel frame, every element revealed through the transparent tabletop. Poul Kjaerholm worked with the idea of creating a series of tables embodying a recognizable industrial aesthetic each one complimenting one or more of his many chairs and sofas.
Poul Kjaerholm was a trained carpenter and continued his studies at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts. He had a particular interest in different construction materials; especially steel which he considered a natural material with the same artistic fineness as other natural materials.
