Using a blend of different coloured yarns, the HAY Channel Rug is hand-woven in India from a blend of New Zealand wool and cotton. The resulting rug has a wonderful tactility, imbued with a three-dimensional quality by the blend of different fibres.
The use of natural materials gives the piece incredible warmth and comfort, making it ideally suited to a wide variety of different interiors, while the minimalist palette allows it to blend seamlessly with your existing furnishings.
Clara von Zweigbergk studied at Beckmans College of Design, Stockholm and Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, USA. Since 1995 she has worked as a graphic designer in Stockholm, Los Angeles and Milan, with corporate identities, packaging, book design and art direction. For the last few years she has also engaged in product design. All ideas are initially formed by hand; colored paper, scissors and double sided tape are essential tools.
