Part of HAY's Copenhague range, the extendable dining table provides the freedom and adaptability to seamlessly alter your table arrangement to cater for larger groups of people. Perfect for a dining room in a home or a conference room in an office, leaves can be inserted into the table's central sliding mechanism, allowing for the piece to grow to suit specific needs and purposes. Available in a striking black stained oak finish or a more subtle grey linoleum with a matt lacquered oak frame, both tables have a strong visual identity, defined by supportive, angled legs and a smooth, durable tabletop.
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the Breton-born brothers, are the stars of European design and the most promising industrial designers to have emerged from France since Philippe Starck in the 1980s.
A combination of romanticism and functionality runs throughout both brothers’ work. Like all truly talented designers, the Bouroullecs have defined a distinctive visual style, which Jasper Morrison (one of the designers they most admire) described as “thoughtful and disciplined, with a real spirit and poetry”.
