An extension of the Rey Collection, the Rey Bar Sool, translates the iconic Rey Dining Chair shape into a functional bar stool. Elongating the slim beech legs, shortening the backrest and inserting a chromed steel footrest, the distinct design language of the Rey is unmistakable. While maintaining the character and flair of the original design, Hay has implemented slight changes in dimensions and new colours to accommodate and suit modern environments. With rounded edges and an uncluttered appearance, the barstool presents a welcoming impression, ideal for a variety of interior styles and settings.
Swiss industrial engineer Bruno Rey is best known for his eponymous Rey Chair design.
Establishing his atelier in 1968, Rey began serial production for the successful Rey Chair, prompting it to be the first chair patented by Swiss design company Dietiker.
