The Saarinen Tulip Tables and Chairs all share the advantage of the unique pedestal base which allows for more freedom of movement than traditional 4-legged tables. What Saarinen referred to as the “unrestful world” beneath is gone, replaced by a slim and elegant base.
This version of the Saarinen Tulip Dining Table is available in a choice of white or black laminate tabletop finish, and comes with a black aluminium base. We carry an wide range of tables and chairs from the Tulip collection, while our journal features an extensive article on the beloved designer of the iconic range.
Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen (1910-1961) was incredibly influential in shaping the postwar American modern design movement. Born in Finland Eero Saarinen was the son of architect Eliel Saarinen, one of the founders of the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
