Inspired by the delicate pleats on the underside of mushroom caps, commonly known as lamella, the elegant pendant is utterly timeless in style. Crafted using the PLICA technique, an old production method that has been revived from Le Klint’s archives, the distinctive vertical pleats beautifully complement the light’s oval structure, adding a new level and texture and dimension.
Perfect for hanging alone in a living room or for creating a distinctive cluster with the Lamella 2-133 Pendant, the light emits an inviting, ambient glow.
Hallgeir Holmstvedt and Jonah Takagi first met while exhibiting at Salone Satellite in 2011 and quickly bonded over design, biking and beer.
By 2013, they each ran their own studios in Oslo and Washington DC respectively and began discussing the potential for collaboration. Hallgeir and Jonah decided that by working together they could pitch ideas and proposals to both European and American brands through their respective contacts. Lamella for Le Klint is the second product to have launched and marks their first collaboration with a European brand.
