Using the same cross-pleating technique as Karre Klint did with his popular Fruit Lamp collection, the elegant rounded pendant combines the proud craftsmanship and history of Le Klint with innovative, modern design. A single piece of rectangular plastic has been intricately folded by hand, generating a large number of uniformed folds and pleats; a highly complex process that requires a great level of time and skill. The end result is a beautifully elegant, organic shade shape that radiates serene simplicity, perfect for creating an ambient, inviting atmosphere in the home.
Lise Navne is a qualified product designer from the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, graduating in 2006.
Navne's debut for Le Klint came in 2007 with the Donut pendant. Taking classic Le Klint cross-pleating to an extreme, Lise has created a lamp that combines classical craftsmanship and traditions with innovative design.
