As expressive as it is impressive, the Mila Armchair features a beautifully flowing design, rich in movement. Created using the injection moulding technique that Magis are highly renowned for, the plastic material gave Hayon the ultimate freedom when designing, allowing him to create something that would be completely impossible if using wood or metal. Inspired by the forms of Catalan modernism, the Mila Armchair is both dynamic and unique, perfect for use in a contemporary indoor or outdoor dining space. The Mila Armchair is also available in an upholstered version.
Spanish artist and industrial designer Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974.
In 1997, he began working as a researcher at Fabrica, Benetton Group’s communication and research centre in Treviso, Italy. 2004 saw the start of Hayon’s individual career and he has kept himself busy with a spectrum of eclectic projects. From toys, to modern furniture and interior design as well as artistic installations, his boldness has been to transcend the borders of the often separated worlds of art and design, comfortably bridging the two whilst embedding them with his own unique style.
