Inspired by the way pictures and paintings are framed, Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen investigated how a mirror could be beautifully encased without taking away from the reflection within. Named Nimbus after the shining cloud or corona that often surrounded a deity when on Earth in Greek Mythology, the mirror's delicate halo-like ring, available in polished or bronzed brass, creates a sophisticated, encircled effect. With a timeless, rounded shape, Nimbus acts as an alluring focal point, adding to the sense of light and space in a room. Part of the wider Audo Copenhagen Nimbus Mirror collection.
Founded in 2016 by Mads Sætter-Lassen and Emil Krøyer, having met at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, the design duo specialise in creating honest, highly functional designs.
