Taking their design cues from their local neighbourhood, designers Mentze Ottenstein have created a minimalist glassware carafe that harks back to vintage tableware designs. The Strandgade Carafe has a sophisticated asymmetrical shape that sits comfortably in the hand and makes pouring liquids an effortless task. Created from mouth-blown glass, each design varies slightly in size and shape due to the handcrafted nature of each piece.

Mentze Ottenstein is a collaboration between visionary architect and design lecturer Mathias Mentze and fellow architect Alexander Ottenstein.
The pair have worked closely together on numerous projects, using their decades of understanding to create beautiful, high-quality pieces. Mathias Mentze brings his experience of working on projects of all shapes and sizes, infusing his designs with a sense of history, exceptional craftsmanship, and a wonderful feeling of tactility. Alexander Ottenstein’s work with high-profile Danish firms gives him the focus and drive to pursue smaller projects.
