Part of the wider Ball collection, inspired by Anastassiades' fascination with spherical objects, the elegant Chandelier can create a subtle yet serene lighting statement in the modern home. Available in black or two metallic finishes, the spheres are positioned to create a striking stacking effect, a unique contemporary take on the classic chandelier. Creating an inviting, warming glow, the Ball Chandelier is perfect for positioning low over a dining or coffee table, or for hanging high in a hallway; adding a unique touch of geometric glamour.
Positioned between fine art and design, Michael Anastassiades creates objects that are minimal, utilitarian and almost mundane, yet full of vitality one might not expect.
He launched his studio in 1994 to explore contemporary notions of culture and aesthetics through a combination of product, furniture and environmental design. The studio’s philosophy is a continuous search for eclecticism, individuality, and timeless qualities in design.
Michael Anastassiades trained as a civil engineer at London’s Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine before taking a masters degree in industrial design at the Royal College of Art. He lives and works in London.
