Part of the Brass Architectural Collection by Michael Anastassiades, the DS150 reflects the simple but sophisticated elegance evident within the range.
Characterised by two mouth-blown glass diffusers, the opaline pieces are arranged parallel to one another upon a delicate brass structure. Available in three finishes, the structure sculpts around the globes with generous curves, creating a unique geometric form that peaks in the light’s centre. A timeless design perfect for adding an element of luxury to an interior space.
Positioned between fine art and design, Michael Anastassiades creates objects that are minimal, utilitarian and almost mundane, yet full of vitality one might not expect.
He launched his studio in 1994 to explore contemporary notions of culture and aesthetics through a combination of product, furniture and environmental design. The studio’s philosophy is a continuous search for eclecticism, individuality, and timeless qualities in design.
Michael Anastassiades trained as a civil engineer at London’s Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine before taking a masters degree in industrial design at the Royal College of Art. He lives and works in London.
