Years of extensive research and development, prototyping and testing have gone into the production of the cutting-edge Mat collection.
The resulting Bar Stool is a circular and sustainable design featuring a shell composed of hemp fibres, eelgrass and biodegradable polymer binder. Iterating on the traditional plastic shell stool, designers Johannes Foersom and Peter Hiort Lorenzen have pushed the limits of possibility with their innovative use of materials, creating a durable and eye-catching piece of contemporary design.
As a result of many years within the design industry, Peter Hiort-Lorenzen and Johannes Foersom are two of Denmark’s most recognised and established furniture designers.
Together they are Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen, and with a shared love for innovation, craftsmanship and functionality, they have received numerous national and international design awards.
