Story

With a minimalist silhouette and unparalleled versatility, the Normann Copenhagen Rise Wall Light - Hard Wired from Marianne Andersen combines the raw industrial beauty of a metal shade and body with the soft, natural tones of ash wood. The contrast between the materials creates an eye-catching juxtaposition, reinforced by the use of a bold and dynamic colour palate. A turning joint allows you to rotate the shade, swapping between direct and indirect lighting to best suit your needs.

Marianne Andersen

Marianne Andersen graduated with a MA in Industrial Design from Oslo School of Architecture and Design in 2013. She is currently employed as an Industrial Designer at the design studio Anderssen & Voll.

Marianne believes that a product's function lies in having an understanding of whom you are designing for and how this affects the aesthetics, purpose and the complexity of the design.
