The Normann Copenhagen Tombola Vase has a unique surface structure, based on eight abstract shapes that have been combined in a random order to produce a striking effect.
Designer Mendel Heit was inspired by modular building blocks and the works of the French OULIPO group, who combine mathematics and words to generate beautiful art. Heit also took inspiration from master glassblowers and ceramicists.

Mendel Heit has spent the past decade exploring a huge variety of disciplines from industrial design to interior architecture.
In 2010, Heit established his studio where he specialises in glass, porcelain, and other ceramics, along with concrete and 3D printed materials. He draws inspiration from a mix of new technologies and traditional crafts, fusing contemporary society with local heritage.
