The Archive Table Lamp’s origins can be traced to a series of paper models made at Designers’ Saturday, the largest and most important national design event in Oslo, Norway. Those early concepts have now been constructed in solid steel, masterfully shaped to create a contemporary piece reminiscent of the iconic bankers’ lamps that populated American halls in the early 20th century.
Its distinctive arched shade reflects an adjustable light downwards while the curved base projects the light outwards, emitting soft, balanced illumination ideal for setting a warm background ambience or task lighting.
Studio Sløyd is a Norwegian design outfit based in Oslo and established in 2019 by designers Herman Ødegaard and Mikkel Jøraandstad.
Engaging with leading brands to create captivating, thoughtful and sustainable designs, Studio Sløyd are inspired by the educational ‘sløyd’ taught in primary schools across Scandinavia which explores traditional woodwork, the use of quality materials and handicrafts.
