Drawing on Japanese comics and Scandinavian design, Micke Lindebergh uses a palette of oversaturated primary colours to produce exuberant and joyful pieces of art, reminiscent of the summer sunshine found in his hometown of Sydney. Collaborating with LA-based Slowdown Studio, Lindebergh has translated his work into a rich cotton throw, still carrying the joyful vibrance of his other pieces.
Slowdown Studio uses a blend of new and recycled cotton yarn to produce hardwearing and versatile throws that are perfect for a wide variety of different settings. Whether it’s adding a playful splash of colour to a bedroom or living space, or spreading out on the grass as a picnic blanket, the Alessi Throw is the perfect addition to any home.
Illustrator Micke Lindebergh creates bold prints and graphics with pen, riso inks and striking acrylics.
Lindebergh’s style has evolved over the years, moving from monsters and animals into more abstract and playful forms like flowers and shapes. He has thoroughly established himself in the Sydney art scene, working with local risograph printers. He has worked with Sydney Opera House, LA-based Slowdown Studio, and Conde Nast.
