The captivating effect of the Colour Block Blanket is created by the interaction of four contrasting colour blocks of varying intensity, that are blended together by the interlocking weave. The two-tone colour combinations are visible in the fringed hem and in the thin strips of colour running along the edges. Hella Jongerius’ artistic brilliance shines through in every element, resulting in a carefully considered and beautiful product.
Developed in collaboration with Vitra, the blanket is woven from Peruvian Highland wool, produced by a hybrid breed of sheep that combines the best traits from Merino and Corriedale wool. This hybrid wool is both extremely soft and incredibly sturdy, resulting in a durable and luxurious blanket suitable for a huge variety of different settings.
