Designed in the 1950s, Svend Aage Holm-Sorensen’s Bloom Table Lamp is now produced by Warm Nordic. The unique form of the Bloom stretches past the norms of traditional table lamps, with an outstretched and emphasised shade, curved body and sophisticated brass detailing.
Holm-Sorensen’s signature touch is cleverly featured on the Bloom Table Lamp; a simplistic row of characteristic holes along the rim of the lampshade, implemented into the metal surface, creating an extra level of depth to the lamp’s already mesmerising display of light.
Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen sketched on everything: envelopes, theatre programmes, even tram tickets. Some remained sketches and ideas, but others he brought to life in the form of lamps.
Thanks to a combination of imagination, talent and vision, Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen played an important role in Danish lamp design. From the 1950s onwards, Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen took the lead in the world of modern lighting during the heyday of Danish furniture design.
