Sprawling across your living room like a floating landscape, the Cinder Block Modular Sofa uses a combination of blocky modules, cushions, and removable tray tables to create a striking centrepiece. The low-profile legs and rounded seats soften the almost brutalist, industrial quality of the design, giving the sofa an appealing luxuriousness.
Nichetto’s genius was sparked by the lightweight, low-density construction blocks, their infinite modularity and iconic profile, inspiring him to create the Cinder Block collection. This configuration includes a square chaise section for curling up with a book, and low-profile armrests with removable trays that can be used for drinks, snacks, and other objects.
Nichetto Studio was found in 2006 by Italian Designer Luca Nichetto. Nichetto Studio is a multidisciplinary design studio specialising in industrial design and product design.
Five years later, in 2011, Nichetto opened a second studio in Stockholm, Sweden and today, Nichetto Studio works with a variety of brands and clients from all around the world.
