Inspired by tumbling autumn leaves, Marco Ferrarini set about finding ways to recreate the overlapping natural forms in fabric and metal. The seat and back of the Folium Dining Chair translate this visual DNA into physical reality, creating a design that embraces the human form as you sit.
Sat atop a slender steel base, the chair explores the duality of natural and man-made forms, contrasting the two design languages while also adding strength and durability to the piece.
Mario Ferrarini, born in Como in 1978, studied Industrial Design at the Design Department of the Milan Polytechnic. Pragmatic but visionary, theatrical but discreet, experimental but brand oriented.
