Defined by contrasts and ethereal lightness, the Glyph Coffee Table is a beautiful piece of Scandinavian-inspired design from Hoffman Kahleyss Design and Wendelbo. The oak veneered base is composed of two elliptical legs, joined in a T-shape. A gently sloped cutout breaks up the silhouette to add a sense of weightlessness, enhanced by the glass tabletop which appears to float above the ground. The capacious size of the tabletop makes the table exceptionally functional, the perfect sculptural centrepiece for any contemporary living space.
Founded in Hamburg in 2013 by Birgit Hoffmann and Cristoph Kahleyss, Hoffman Kahleyss studio is a collaboration between two designers with an intuitive understanding of the other’s work.
The pair’s approach is deeply functionalist, balancing contrasting elements to create striking pieces of design. Each piece contains an unexpected detail, whether thats sophisticated indents in the upholstery, or metal struts with varying widths.
