Carrying a minimalist aesthetic, the Ghost carries the hallmarks of Kowalewski's carpentry background, with its emphasis being on simplicity and functionality. Deliberately designed to mimic the visual identity of a ghostly form, the lamp features a subtle groove pattern that runs through the glass.
Born in Berlin, Andreas Kowalewski began his career in design with a cabinetmaker apprenticeship, after which he went on to study Industrial Design at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. Since his graduation in 2006, he has developed products, furniture and lighting for leading design companies. In 2012, Andreas founded his Amsterdam based studio, where he works on various design solutions, covering the overall spectrum of the design process.
