Creating an impressive, cocooned seating environment, the Little Petra Lounge Chair and Pouf embody an elegant and welcoming aesthetic. The chair’s petite frame and beautifully curved backrest create a cosy refuge for the ultimate, reclined relaxation, whilst the additional pouf offers an elevated resting place of organic texture and warmth, further enhancing the user’s seated comfort. Upholstered in a range of muted tones and soft materials, the Little Petra series adds stylish character to an array of spaces with its simple and stunningly compact design.
Both pieces are also sold separately as part of the &Tradition Little Petra series.
Danish designer and architect, Viggo Boesen, came to prominence in Denmark during the 1930s. His work came to reflect what was known as a 'funkis' style, an abbreviation of the Swedish term, 'funktionalism', which referred to the architectural and design concept of 'Functionalism'. The movement represented stripped back, purposeful design, an ethos that is still at the core of contemporary Nordic design today.
Only a few of Boesen's designs were ever produced, such as Little Petra, but his distinguished, soft and organic approach came to be influential for decades that followed.
