Story

Originally designed in 1964, the Artemide Falkland 85 Suspension Light boasts a voluptuous shape that is achieved by the contrasting forces of its components. Expertly crafted, its innovative form consists of an elasticated fabric profile, held together by multiple Aluminium rings, resulting in a tubular composition. Adapting to a range of interiors and spaces, this minimalistic light source supplements both style and character to your home whilst gently illuminating your space with ambient lighting.

Bruno Munari

Born in Milan, Bruno Munari (1907-1998) was an Italian artist and graphic designer who was an advocate of the Italian Futurist movement, and one of the founders of the Italian movement for concrete art - Movimento Arte Concreta (MAC).

Later in life, he got involved in furniture and lighting design, with iconic pieces such as ‘Sedia per Visite Brevissime’, designed in 1945 and made by Zanotta in 1988, and the Falkland hanging light fixture originally designed for Danese in 1964.
