Comprised of three strands of golden light, the S1 Suspension Light combines a delicate expression with a distinctively graphic structure. A lattice of extruded opaline bulbs and anodised aluminium, the S1 forms an attractive lighting solution with a surprisingly industrial appeal. The minimalist nature of the Coordinates collection means that it doesnt host any unnecessary elements, allowing the unique structure to captivate. Whether suspended alone or in combination, the Flos Coordinates S1 Suspension Light is the perfect focal point for a living or dining area.
Positioned between fine art and design, Michael Anastassiades creates objects that are minimal, utilitarian and almost mundane, yet full of vitality one might not expect.
He launched his studio in 1994 to explore contemporary notions of culture and aesthetics through a combination of product, furniture and environmental design. The studio’s philosophy is a continuous search for eclecticism, individuality, and timeless qualities in design.
Michael Anastassiades trained as a civil engineer at London’s Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine before taking a masters degree in industrial design at the Royal College of Art. He lives and works in London.
