Defined by a sculptural, curvaceous form, creating an immersive seated space of comfort and openness, Hayon’s mission was to develop an overwhelmingly welcoming lounge chair for an interior space. With a sophisticated, serene expression, the chair can be utilised individually for spending quality time relaxing in a cosy corner of a living room, as well as working well in groups in lobbies or larger living environments.
A timeless piece, the JH4 Fri™ Easy Chair is available with a brushed aluminium base, upholstered in a range of contemporary colours.
Spanish artist and industrial designer Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974.
In 1997, he began working as a researcher at Fabrica, Benetton Group’s communication and research centre in Treviso, Italy. 2004 saw the start of Hayon’s individual career and he has kept himself busy with a spectrum of eclectic projects. From toys, to modern furniture and interior design as well as artistic installations, his boldness has been to transcend the borders of the often separated worlds of art and design, comfortably bridging the two whilst embedding them with his own unique style.
