Known as the ‘Element chair’, the PK25™ demonstrates Kjaerholm’s enthusiasm for working with simple, everyday industrial materials. A singular piece of matt chromed steel is angled without joints or connections whilst a length of flag halyard is tightly wound over the overarching frame to form the seat. A rather complex piece determined by its apparent simplicity the PK25™ hallmarks Kjaerholm’s minimal approach to design. The configuration of the chair lends itself to a host of modern interiors, adding a touch of iconic style and design to a living room, dressing room or bedroom.

Poul Kjaerholm was a trained carpenter and continued his studies at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts. He had a particular interest in different construction materials; especially steel which he considered a natural material with the same artistic fineness as other natural materials.
