Lissoni set out with a simple mission when designing the KN collection; to reflect the history of Knoll. It has an undeniably modernist form, coupled with the highest quality craftsmanship. A reclining mechanism is built subtly into the armrests, allowing flexibility and remarkable freedom of movement, as well as extreme comfort for long periods of time. Available with a polished or charcoal coated cast aluminium base, the KN02 is the perfect combination of some of the fundamental values Knoll products embody: design, high-quality materials, maximum comfort and meticulous attention to detail.
Italian designer and architect Piero Lissoni received a degree in architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan. After completing his studies he worked as a designer for Molteni and Lema.
In 1986 he founded ‘Studio Lissoni’ with Nicoletta Canesi, developing projects in architecture, interior architecture, design and graphic design. The studio also works in the field of art direction and public relations. He has worked with a wide range of design houses and manufacturers including Driade, Kartell, Artemide and Lema.
