Designer Konstantin Grcic set out to revolutionise the mono-bloc plastic chair, creating a seat that is affordable, stylish, and environmentally conscious. The chair is produced with plastic recycled from Magis’ own workshops and the local automotive industry, reducing its environmental footprint.

German industrial designer Konstantin Grcic was born in Munich, Germany in 1965. After training as a cabinet maker at Parnham College in the UK he studied design at the Royal College of Art in London from 1988-1990. Since setting up his own design practice KONSTANTIN GRCIC INDUSTRIAL DESIGN (KGID) in Munich in 1991 he has developed contemporary furniture, products and designer lighting for international design brands such as Magis, Flos and Vitra.
