Expertly crafted with sustainability in mind, the Eternity Sidechair exemplifies Mater’s commitment to providing design-led sustainable pieces for the 21st century.
A Space Copenhagen design, the Eternity Sidechair is characterised by its mesmerising texture and appearance. Crafted from Mater Circular Materials, a mix of 70% industrial plastic waste from Grohe and 30% Coffee Bean waste, the waste is combined to create a composite material before being moulded into shape for the comfortable and sculptural seat. Utilising Mater Circular Materials, the Eternity chair subsequently reduces carbon emissions while offering an efficient way to upcycle industrial waste. The rounded seat and back are supported by a set of thin steel seat legs, highlighting the chair’s industrial and sculptural characteristics.
Space Copenhagen was founded in 2005 by designers Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou.
The studios work covers multiple disciplines from furniture, lighting and refined objects, to art installations, art direction and interior design for private homes, hotels and restaurants all over the world.
